And we are going AGAIN!
We are building again this time outside of Sydney. McDonald Jones are our builder of 'choice' being really the only high volume builder in the area. Our plans are being drawn up but looking at a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3 living area home. Follow along on Instagram blueys_mjh_saxonvale33v2

Garden photos 2020
Not much has happened in the past year apart from the garden lighting in the post earlier. The extra lighting has made such a difference to the garden usability over the summer. Lawns are a bit patchy especially out the front of the house.

Garden lighting FINALLY
Today marks 6 years since we moved into our new house. Time flies! And the house definitely does not feel new anymore. All along I have wanted to light up our beautiful garden that Hayward Landscapes designed and constructed. We engaged the services of a local company, Interlight, after seeing his own property lit up when visiting a friend. Here are some photos though I don't think they really do it justice.

The garden a year on
Not much has changed at all in the last 12 months though we did repalce our struggling camellias down the side of the house with some gardenia bushes. We hope they like the soil more than camellias. Our hibiscus trees did not like the frost of the past winter at all and pretty much lost all foliage, looking very sickly. As you can see, they have bounced back beautifully again, providing us with privacy from our neighbours.

Yearly garden spam
Our garden has just had its fourth birthday. Whilst the back and sides are flourishing, the front still is struggling in comparison. In the backyard we made the mistake of not cutting down the hibiscus trees and the bottom was starting to radically thin out. We have pruned them back to half their size recently in the hope of encouraging growth back down below.
Hopefully within the next year, we will have some good garden lighting installed.
