About Me

My photo
EDIT - Now a 'work at the local school' mum a few days a week while juggling the job of parenting 3 teenagers! I am a SAHM who does work from home occasionally, dedicated to raising 3 Godly, independent, healthy children. Loving the home building process though it is not without challenges. I have fairly free reign over the creative aspect of the project...just not the financial side!

Partially roofed

Today saw some of the Colorbond roofing installed. They only do the upper roof now as the scaffolding is in the way of the lower roof. Any work that needs scaffolding will be done now ie eaves, downpipes etc
The bottom two photos have been kindly sent by our beautiful neighbours to be from their back fence. Anyone for a swim?

  1. Excellent news. We got our slab laid 2 days earlier than Troys dates, it was finished on Wednesday.

  2. We are currently about to start building a new pool and house with McDonald Jones Homes. We plan to have the pool dug and concreted poured prior to house starting. From the look of your pictures you didn't need to cover the pool during construction- we have been asked to cover the pool during the pool. It is 3m from alfresco area... Did the builder ask you to do this?

  3. Hi Sarah,
No we didn't cover our pool which I found pretty strange. We were told that there was no need at all & it was a disadvantage to but I can't remember why now!
All worked out fine in the end.
